Fireside Adventures offers multi-day teen travel leadership camps for youth aged 13 to 17 within British Columbia. We are offering in 2009 a variety of camp programs such as our Golden Ears Provincial Park Weekends, Whistler Youth Week Program, Fireside International Leadeship Program and our new Big Island Leadership Program

What is the Fireside Big Island Leadership Program all about?
Vancouver Island is one of BC’s premier outdoor recreational areas to explore and discover. Fireside Adventures is pleased to launch our new Big Island Leadership Program for youth seeking leadership training while visiting some of the most amazing locations on the island. This summer youth leaders will hike through Cape Scott and enjoy its endless beaches, sunsets and incredible trails along rare old growth trees. Afterwards youth will head to Tofino and reside at Tofino Botanical Gardens as they take an optional surfing or kayaking lesson. Finally, it is imperative for our young leaders to visit BC’s capital city, Victoria, to understand is historical architecture and meet other youth leaders at the parliament buildings.

Fireside Adventures incorporates experiential and environmental learning to help teens foster an understanding of outdoor recreational leadership. Youth want opportunities to grow as young adults and to discover their leadership potential. Vancouver Island is an amazing place for young leaders to stand beside old growth trees or hiking along the beaches and coastline of the Pacific Ocean.

Leadership training is pivotal to one's life experience and fundamental in determining one's potential. Understanding the fundamentals, skills and awareness of leadership is a necessary adventure to evoke the leader within.
