Camp Focus:

  • Special Programs: Community Service
  • Study Abroad and International Camps: Costa Rica
  • Teen Tours and Travel Camps: Africa
  • Description:

Our community service programs are a great way to give back, help those less fortunate and make a difference in the lives of others. We work with dedicated service partners that have a long history of achieving a specific mission and integrating volunteers into their efforts including:

    - Food Bank of Alaska

    - Monteverde Cloud Forest

    - Habitat for Humanity

    - Costa Rica Humanitarian Foundation

    - Food Bank of Southern California

    - Hawaii Nature Center of Maui

    - Boys and Girls Club

    - Children’s Angel Foundation

    - Kid’s Kitchen

    - Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies

    - Dare to Care

    - Maricopa County Animal Care

    - Ronald McDonald House

Be immersed in the local culture and experience glacier hiking in Alaska, spotting the “Big 5” in Africa, surfing in Hawaii, exploring Machu Picchu in Peru and relaxing in mud baths and hot springs in Costa Rica.

Groups are generally 12-21 participants.  Most students come by themselves. Participants should be prepared for our program. Service days may last as long as 8 hours. Remember, you are committing yourself not only to hard work, but also to your fellow volunteers and those you will be assisting.

For information about Service Partners, please see the program that interests you.
