    Summer Camps

Summer time is full of ADVENTURES and OPPORTUNITIES! For kids to grow, they need time away from their parents to get the practice they need to negotiate life. Give your children the Adventures of a lifetime and the space to grow up and be healthy, happy, productive adults. YMCA Camp Ockanickon, Inc. offers several options for families to choose from.

    Ockanickon for Boys

    Director: Brent Birchler, ext. 1524

Ages 7 -16 - The activities are indeed traditional for our sleep away camp in the Pines with opportunities for the very active including all types of sports, aquatic activities and archery. The pinnacle active experience for each boy is the high and low challenge course where teamwork and cooperation result in achievement far beyond each boy's expectations. But it doesn't end there - we also offer a variety of creative arts options, outdoor living skills and Earth Education! Boys will also find ample opportunity to develop friendships and benefit from adult male leadership in the cabin, at meals and in the "Thought for the Day." Bunk situations have no more than seven boys with one or two counselors. The boys will have the opportunity three times a week to join the girls of their age in activities.

    Matollionequay for Girls

    Director: Gabrielle Ostroski, ext 1523

Ages 7 – 16 - Provides an opportunity for a girl to explore all aspects of her personality in the safety of our traditional sleepaway camp. Traditional activities run the gamut of camp's treasures - aquatic activities, arts and crafts, archery, swimming, drama, sports, Earth Education, Challenge Course, and if you choose, horseback riding. As important as these activities are, the real treasure for many is the camaraderie and friendship in the cabin and dining hall. Singing is a constant, particularly in the dining hall. "Thoughts for the day" in our chapel area help the girls start each day. Also, three times a week or so, coed activities occur with the boys at Ockanickon. Join us for this time of adventure, friendship and activity.

    Lake Stockwell

    Day Camp

    Director: Jennifer Segelken, ext. 1527

Ages 5 to 15 - Day Camp is CAMP! Children need the chance to get dirty, chase bugs and see the world on their level. Camp does all that. At Lake Stockwell Day Camp we give participants the opportunity to make choices about what they like and programs that they want to participate in.
