CoMMotion's Mid-Atlantic Dance Fest is an intensive pre-professional program designed for dancers who wish to improve and polish their dance skills in a positive and inspiring environment. CoMMotion's Mid-Atlantic Dance Fest cultivates complete dancers by opening up the dancer to the newest approaches in dance education, and providing a multi-faceted curriculum. Dancers are engaged and challenged with classes in Hip-Hop, Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Theatre dance, Tap, Pilates, and Stretch. Mid-Atlantic faculty are dedicated to providing each dancer with an individualized and personal experience. Faculty include Derrick Evans (Gus Giordano, River North), Julio Matos, (Fosse), Cynthia Thompson (JMU Department of Theatre Arts), Bonnie Slawson (Artistic Director, Underground Dance Theater/CoMMotion Dance Pilates Fitness studio) and Dawn Hessler (Motion Mania Dance Theatre).
